You can find store-bought kale chips in many grocery stores but honestly, I’ve never tasted one that remotely compares to this homemade recipe. My kids love these and so do I. Totally worthwhile to make your own kale chips versus eating store bought and just a warning..these are addictive!!
Ingredients
- 1 large bunch of kale
- 1 tsp. pink Himalayan salt
- 4 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
Rinse and pat dry, 1 large bunch of kale. I remove the woody stem, tearing the kale in half so that the main stalk down the middle comes out. In a large bowl, mix in 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Then sprinkle with salt and nutritional yeast.
Spread out onto baking sheet – one layer of kale. Bake for about 10 minutes making sure to stir along the way so that the chips don’t burn. Once the kale is mostly crispy, remove from oven and let them crisp up even more on the baking sheet until totally cooled off. The final result is a crispy, cheesy chip that everyone loves – even kids!
